Yesterday I received the following letter:
April 28, 2008
Dear Jennifer Amber,
You have been selected as the winner of this year’s Academic Achievement Award in Contemporary Communications. This award is chosen by the department and given annually to the graduating student in each area who best exemplifies the scholarship, values and commitment to excellence for which Notre Dame is known.
Your award will be presented on May 21, 2008 at the Graduate Studies Commencement Reception held from 5pm-7pm in Fourier Hall, first floor.
And after reading it, I surprised myself by being rather happy and excited about the prospect of receiving said award… someone must be putting Prozac in the drinking water.
