Denise and Jeremy own two dogs: Asia (doberman) and Riley (german shepherd). Riley is terrified of lightning & thunderstorms, which translates into him being terrified of my digital camera and it’s flash. So, here’s a picture of Asia and I warming up in the kitchen before heading back out into the snow!
Saturday night (after all of our ski-fun) Jeremy drove us out to the Harmony House in Gray, ME, near Yarmouth. It’s a BYOB dance hall, set up barn-style. Inside, there is a stage and tables all around the outside, and there’s a 2nd floor deck around the perimeter with more seating and pool tables. We listened to a pretty awesome rock cover band; the lead singer had a fantastic, strong alto voice! Of course, we brought our own cooler of beer which resulted in a little bit of dancing by us ladies… 🙂
Sunday, after a fantastic brunch of official Maine blueberry pancakes at 111 Maine in Brunswick, we headed to Freeport to check out the L.L. Bean campus and surrounding outlets. Thanks to a total stranger, we have a picture of the three of us standing in front of the infamous L.L. Bean boot, just outside of the retail store. There are four stores on the campus altogether (retail, hunting/fishing, outlet and ski/bike/boat). In the quad between the buildings were a team of sled dogs and their handlers, and a small station for little kids to try out snowshoes!
