When Courtney asked me whether or not I thought it would be fun to attend a Drag Queen Brunch in downtown D.C., I replied with a resounding, “Hell Yes!” But we had to wait for the right reason, the right justification for getting together a group of lovely ladies to witness the fun and fake boobies… and Courtney’s 30th birthday turned out to be just the ticket!

At one point, Latina Queen grabbed two unsuspecting guests (a guy and a girl) and sat them down in chairs in the middle of the dining room. She then proceeded to mouth-feed them apple slices. Something happened out of my line of sight (apparently she took the shirt off another guest), and then she got No Shirt Guy to mouth-feed the apple slices to the Chair Guy and Chair Girl! Oh, the shenanigans!
Perrys was crazy-busy, so our group of 10 got split up into a 4-top and a 6-top in two different parts of the dining room. Here are some of the beautiful and fun people at my table — Aimee, Virginia, Dimario and Tamera:
And after indulging in plates full of food and various lip-synched songs, punctuated by dollar bills stuffed into bedazzled bras and tight spandex skirts, we all gathered around our table and had one of the waiters take our group picture:
