One of my favorite daily reads — Jenn over at Free and Flawed — gave many of us bloggers a heads-up about BlogDay 2008, and she was kind enough to list my humble little spot o’ the blogisphere as one of her five! Jenn, I am truly honored! Hopefully I can do right by this recommendation and keep writing posts that bring my viewers back for more!
So, what IS BlogDay? Basically it’s a day for bloggers to share five new blogs that you find interesting to the rest of the world. All you have to do is:
1. Find 5 new blogs that you want to recommend
2. Notify the bloggers that you are recommending them as a part of BlogDay 2008
3. Write a short description of the blogs and place a link to them in your post
4. Post your BlogDay post on August 31 (today!)
and
5. Link back to the BlogDay web site
Sounds simple enough! Here are my top five favorite blog recommendations (albeit a bit loaded… forgive me because I’m about to drop in a few “extras”!) — and don’t forget to swing by Free and Flawed as well!
Word Perv – My friend the writer/poet, runner, beagle-owner, wine aficionado, sender of snail mail and owner of a wicked sense of humor.
Little Joys – my uber-creative and talented friend, co-worker and neighbor blogs about life through creative writing and photography, but don’t forget to click her link to Oomphasis, where she shares her “adventures in mail enhancement and other paperlicious pursuits.”
The Pioneer Woman – she was a city girl who went home and fell in love with a rancher! The site is split up into four sections: Confessions, Photography, Cooking and Home/Garden. Wonderful photography and entertaining reading in all four categories! Don’t forget to read up on her Love Story, Black Heels to Tractor Wheels.
List 5 – An interesting project by a friend of a friend: Almost everyday for a year Roach will ask a question and it is up to the readers to provide the answers. The key to the project is to list five answers with the best ones being compiled into a book… and it’s open for anyone to comment!
Svensto – The Daily Coyote’s grandmother blogs her memoirs, with frequent name dropping. It’s the blog everyone wishes their grandmother would write.

I am so happy you participated in Blog Day! Thank you for all the link love you’ve been giving me. I appreciate it muchly.
Dear onewanderer, thank you for including me in your group of bloggers. I am learning so much, being involved in this new attempt to travel through the ether. I feel very humble.
I totally missed BlogDay 2008. Damn.
