Tastes like chicken?
May 17, 2008 by onewandering
On Thursday, I took a photo of Dakota sitting at the end of the couch. She was staring at Miss Kitty, who was sitting on the back of the loveseat. With the exception of the pupil-reflection of the camera’s flash and an overall gray tone (both fixable qualities), I thought it was a good picture of Kota and sums up her split-attention span now that Miss K is in the house: one ear on me, the other on the kitty. I imagine that she’s probably got a lot going through her mind right now, seeing as her home has been infiltrated by yet another creature she’s not allowed to lick or make eyes at.
“Hi, my name is Dakota and I want to eat the kitty. I mean, I know I’m not supposed to, but I still want to. Is there a 10-step program for this? I can’t concentrate! All I hear is kitty moving and kitty breathing. All I smell is kitty. At night, I dream that I can levitate kitty close enough to nibble her toes. I dream that she tastes like chicken. Furry, purry chicken.”
And for those of you who will end up asking me anyway, here is the straight-out-of-camera (SOOC) shot shown next to the one I cycled through Photoshop. Long live photo editing software!
