To wander is to go about from place to place, usually without a plan or definite purpose. I am one wandering, amidst a crowd of those with purpose and direction. Both my feet and my mind possess this propensity to roam about, and I embrace the physical and mental paths down which I travel. For who but the wandering ones will pause long enough during the journey to allow themselves to bear witness to unexpected revelations? Tolkien once said that “not all who wander are lost.” I am not lost – I am open to discovery.
